From the Pastor’s Desk

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Williams Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. As pastor of Williams Chapel, I am very proud of what this church has represented in the life and breath of our Zion. Although we have experienced many hardships and adversities; it is our faith that kept us and will lead us on. That faith brought our forefathers through slavery, segregation and emancipation. That same faith will propel us in passing the torch to the next generation of believers. As we worship today in sprit and truth, let us never forget where the Lord has brought us. We must continue to give the Lord praise for affording us the privilege of worshipping in a more conducive physical environment than that of our forefathers. It is only by God’s grace and mercy that we have come this far. Again, on behalf of our first lady Sheila, my children, the entire Williams Chapel A. M. E. Church family and I, we welcome you. Our prayer is that you will continue to grow and expand in this journey call life while keeping in mind that “only what we do for Christ will last”. Remember, “You are in the Right place at the Right time”. Faith, Hope and Love, Reverend Dr. Stanley Rivers
